Alison's interest in electronic dance music was sparked by her first visit to Candy's Apartment. The DJ was playing Silent Shout by the Knife. Allison Cara Tolman was born in the United States. The actress is most famous for her performance as Molly Solverson in the first season of Fargo, the first season of FX TV show Fargo. Tolman's guest role in The Mindy Project as romance writer Abby Berman for two episodes and was revealed the same day. In 2015, she played an supporting role of Michael Dougherty s comedy horror movie Krampus. After her breakthrough role on Fargo, Tolman declined several roles as moms wives, best friends and mothers, looking for some more unique roles. In 2017, Tolman starred in ABC's Downward Dog, based on the Animal Media Group web series which was cancelled after one season. Tolman, who is a Twitter user, said that she earned "pretty amazing" ratings in her role in the ABC Drama Emergence. It premiered in September 2019, but it was cancelled after one season that ended on May 21, 2020. The actress was also an guest on the show on NBC called Good Girls. In 2021, she starred as Alma Filcott in the second season of the drama show Why Women Kill, and she also played Natalie Green in The Facts of Life part of the third edition of Live in Front of a Studio Audience.
